Rugby Nova Scotia Breast Cancer Fundraiser!

On Saturday, October 8th, Rugby Nova Scotia played a charity rugby match to bring awareness and much needed funds to Breast Cancer Action Nova Scotia (BCANS). The game was played on the Halifax Wanderers Grounds by men from all over Nova Scotia, while wearing dresses! One team wore white dresses and one team wore pink dresses. The celebrity coaches also dressed up for the occasion.The players were on parade, in front of the bleachers, in their best outfits to win the “Best Dressed” award. Burgers and hotdogs were for sale at the field and a beer garden for refreshments. Rugby Nova Scotia sold special pink rugby shirts with “Rugby Cares” on the back. The event raised a whooping $13,543.22 for BCANS! This first semi-annual event was an incredible success, even the weather cooperated.
